We are currently seeking a full-time Librarian / Database Manager


Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting grant writers with completing grant applications and related activities.
    • May include creating budgets and/or budget justification narratives, biosketches, job descriptions, organizational charts, logic models, maps and other graphics.
    • Complete administrative information in grant application packages
    • Participate in conference calls with clients.
    • Coordinate physical/electronic submission of grant application package.
    • Scheduling conference calls and meetings

  • Updating and maintaining Egrants, an Internet-based grants database.
    • Evaluate new grant announcements received from federal, state, and private foundation sources, for inclusion in the database.
    • Respond to requests for trial subscriptions, account information, and general questions about the database.
    • Establish new accounts and coordinate with President to schedule invoices.

  • Conducting grant-related research as requested by colleagues.

  • Updating and maintaining proprietary grants database in Microsoft Access.

​Please note that the Librarian / Database Manager will work from home full-time. Additional benefits are available. Salary commensurate with experience. Position is available immediately.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree. Master of Library Science from ALA-accredited school preferred.  However, persons with an equivalent combination of degree and experience will be considered for the position.
  • Proficiency with common software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat). Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Access and specialized graphics and mapping software preferred
  • Strong online search skills and accurate, timely data entry skills
  • Advanced technical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Some grant experience/ knowledge preferred
